Questions, answered.
What does “Type A” jade actually mean?
Type A jadeite is natural — it has not been chemically treated to alter its colour or transparency. Only its surface has been polished and waxed, which is standard and accepted practice.
Type B has been bleached and resin-impregnated; Type C has been dyed. Both are far less valuable and can degrade over time. Every piece we sell is Type A, and we provide the certificate to prove it.
How do I know your jade is genuine?
Each piece is accompanied by a certificate from an independent gemmological laboratory (NGTC, and GIA or Gem-A on request) confirming species and treatment grade. The certificate number is matched to your specific piece.
Can you authenticate a piece I bought elsewhere?
Yes. We will independently assess any jadeite piece for species and treatment grade. We charge only the laboratory’s fee — nothing for our time.
Is every piece one of a kind?
Yes. Natural jade is never identical twice — colour, texture, and translucency vary stone to stone. The piece you see is the exact piece you receive. Once it sells, it is gone.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards and bank transfer. For clients in China and Hong Kong, WeChat Pay and Alipay are also available. For high-value pieces we are happy to arrange a call to walk you through the purchase.
Can I see more photos or video before buying?
Always. Jade is hard to capture in a single image. Contact us and we will send additional photos under different lighting, or a short video, so you can judge the colour and translucency honestly.
How is my order shipped, and is it insured?
All orders ship by DHL Express, fully insured for the full purchase price, with tracking provided at dispatch and a signature required on delivery. Packaging is discreet and unbranded.
How long will delivery take?
Typically three working days to most destinations once the piece dispatches. We will confirm the timeline for your country when you order.
Will I have to pay import duties?
We handle all export paperwork on the China side. Any import duties or taxes charged by your own country are the buyer’s responsibility — we are glad to advise on what to expect beforehand.
What is your return policy?
Fourteen days from delivery, unworn and in original condition, for a full refund or exchange — no explanation needed. We cover return shipping within China, Hong Kong, and Singapore; beyond that we share the cost.
Bespoke and made-to-order pieces are the exception, as they are made for you alone — these are final sale.
Do you offer repairs or restoration?
Any piece we made carries lifetime free restoration — cleaning, re-polishing, re-stringing, clasp and setting repair. Return it to us whenever it needs attention and we will return it as new.
How do I care for my jade at home?
Jade likes to be worn. Keep it away from harsh chemicals, perfume, and extreme heat. Clean it gently with a soft, damp cloth. Store pieces separately so harder stones do not scratch them. Beyond that, simply enjoy it.
Can you make a piece to my specification?
Yes. We take a limited number of commissions each year — from selecting a rough stone to carving and setting a finished piece. Tell us what you have in mind and we will discuss what is possible.
How long does a commission take?
It depends entirely on the piece, but most commissions take several weeks to a few months. Fine work is not rushed — a piece is finished when it is finished. We will give you a realistic timeline before we begin.
